I have an Excel spreadsheet that I need to lock the formatting of a range of cells, I know how to protect cells, the sheet, etc unless there is a step I am missing in this area I don’t believe that I can accomplish what I need with this function.
What I need to do is….
I have a range of cells (say its B:5 – H:52) this block of cells has a boarder around in and the data within the range has lighter boarders. When I delete a row of data the entire block shift up making the formatted cell range change to B:5 – H:51. I need to be able to delete said row of data BUT keep the formatting boarders intact for thoriginalal cell range.
Is this possible?

We know how to protect an Excel spreadsheet against revisions.
Is it possible to protect ( not allow revisions ) certain columns of an Excel spreadsheet ? If yes, please tell me the commands.
Say I want to protect columns E, F, G only. The person reviewing my spreadsheet can alter content of cells in other columns.
Thank you.

I have a large excel spreadsheet that freezes up and sometimes won’t recover. How can I fix this? I had an IT guy do something to a different spreadsheet and it worked great. I don’t know what he did but when I get it back I had to reformat it. Does this sound familiar or anything. Any help would be great! Thanks!!!!
