Question about excel spreadsheets.?

Two questions about protected excel spreadsheets.

1) I have a protected sheet that I want other users to be able to spell check (Others who don’t have the password). Help?

2) Same protected sheet. Cells in this sheet that are refering to other sheets (ie A5 says =’Other Sheet’!E117) are still able to be changed, even if the sheet and the cell is protected. Is there a way to lock these cells down also?
Forget question 2. Figured it out.

LOCKING THE EDITING CELL IN EXCEL?

I have been working on a spreadsheet in excel and I can’t figure out how to lock a cell. Say for example I imput a number into cell A1 and following cells A3, A4, A5 populate based on a vlookup formula with the A1 figure. I have to enter different numbers in A1 to get the information from the cells A3, A4, and A5 for work purposes. I have found a spreadsheet before but don’t know how to set it up so when I enter a figure in A1 and hit enter, that it returns directly to A1 and does not proceed to A2. This will just make my speed a little after when I don’t have to hit undo when i’m in a hurry. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
(Also, I have locked all other cells so I can not enter any other information otherwise I get a popup message saying they are protected, but I would still like just A1 to be selected thoughout my work in the spreadsheet.)
Also, I know how to lock a formula such as $A1, A, and $A. I need to know how to keep the selected cell (A1) the selected cell even after I press ENTER.
