Password Protected Second Hard Drive?
There is a problem with the hard drive in my laptop, it needs formatted and a reinstallation of Windows XP. I’m trying to back-up my data first so I’ve put the hard drive in my PC (with 2.5-3.5" adaptor) my computer sees it fine but it won’t give me access to the "Documents & Setting Folder" where all my data is saying it’s password protected. From looking online it’s because my laptop hard drive is password protected (windows log on screen). Is there anyway to remove the Windows XP password on my laptop drive from Windows XP on my computer?

hi there use ubuntu disk u can order it for free from their website or u can just download it and burn it once you have the disk. boot to the live cd and mount the second hd and have an external hd or somewhere where you can save your files connected to the pc . you will get an error when you try to mount the hd u need to add a command look it up online then its just a matter of transfering your files. or you can use a software called pilitos its easyer to use looks like windows and you will not have to enter any commands or anything way easyer. good luck i have done both so i know its possible
